AIRE Ancient Baths – Chicago

Although reclaimed brick looks good in any application, there’s something truly spectacular in the way it compliments the old-world, cavern aesthetic of Aire Ancient Baths. This former River West factory building from 1902 was renovated and restored in 2018, preserving the exposed brick, timber framing, and industrial elements original to the building. The final effect transports visitors back in time to the era of ancient Greek and Roman bathhouses, though this modern luxury spa features contemporary furnishings far beyond the imagination of bygone civilizations: two steam rooms, seven candlelit pools of varying temperatures and salinities, eight treatment rooms, and an indoor-outdoor bath with waterfall!

We were delighted to provide “full-range” Chicago common brick for the building’s interior, as well as red Cherokee Brick for masonry repair and infill on the exterior. Everyone deserves a little R&R — so be sure to make some time to visit our work and take a nice long soak!
