Morgan’s on Fulton – Chicago

950 W Fulton is one of the original industrial structures built in Fulton Market. Originally constructed in 1907, past occupants included Edwards & Sons horse-shoers, the Chicago Smoked Fish Company, and several different meat wholesalers.

In 2013, the building became one of the first commercial properties in the area to be rehabilitated, kicking off a transformative decade for the neighborhood. When repairing the parapets and adding to the building, we worked with building owner 555 and the Chicago Landmarks team to source a tumbled red/burgundy brick by Brampton to match the original. It’s hard to tell where the infill is… but that’s on purpose! Interestingly enough, this is the same brick we matched and sold as infill to the Aviary right across the street at 955 W Fulton.

When Morgan’s on Fulton entered the picture in 2015, we returned to the building to provide two sets of LaCantina sliding doors to the new rooftop patio!
